11:11"Fenix decided to travel into the hopeful future of a young girl to answer her question: will she be in a place where she can be happy?"Despite my parents' expectations for my grades, my education, my occupation, and my future, I want to keep doing what makes me happy: to draw the heck out of my imagination. But I've always wondered if I would live up to my dreams in the future, or will I yield to my parents, because all I've wished for at 11:11 was to be content. I want to have a job where I can work like I'm always on vacation. That is what I call an ideal world. So thank you Fenix, and your portal, for taking a peek into it for me! I hope it's a real one (you can travel anywhere, and I'm guessing a parallel universe is a piece of cake for you too). Hope you enjoy my piece, 11:11.
18 in. x 24 in. (45.7 x 61 cm) watercolor piece. "Swinging With the Magpies" is a reinvention of "The Swing" by Jean-Honoré Fragonard. The original piece sexualized the woman and included a man hiding in the bushes peering up her dress. In my work the men have been removed and the foliage simplified, emphasizing the main subject. The magpies, as representations of social life, hint at the history behind "The Swing" all the while remaining ambiguous.

14th November 2020. A day I doubt I'd ever forget. I'm an introvert and I love anime so a gathering for anime fans was basically geek heaven. I made a lot of new friends and linked up with old ones. It was my first time attending such an event and it felt like 2020 wasn't so bad after all. P.S I omitted masks so that I could draw facial expressions. It was a safe event.
